2013 Mazda Mazda3

Featuring impressive fuel economy without sacrificing power or performance, Mazda3 was the first Mazda to boast of having SKYACTIV technology. The 2013 Mazda3 receives a few refinements to further appeal to the compact car crowd. Mazda3 is available as both a sedan and hatchback.

The Mazda3 comes with a spare tire, which provides additional safety and security in the eyes of consumers. Some competitors have opted to replace spare tires with roadside puncture kits in order to shed vehicle weight for improved fuel economy.

New colors for 2013 include Dolphin Gray and Crystal White Pearl. On the inside the 2013 Mazda3 gets a redesigned automatic shift knob, air conditioning with pollen filter as standard and added ambient temperature display.

Paired with the dependable 148-horsepower MZR 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the base model hatchback Mazda3 is the first stop in Mazda's performance-geared, fuel-efficient line of sporty compacts.

Moving up, SKYACTIV is a suite of fun-to-drive and fuel-saving technologies that produces 155 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque.

The optional SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter engine is now available on the i Sport (sedan only) and receives all the fuel economy-boosting SKYACTIV niceties of the i Touring and i Grand Touring, such as a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine, choice of SKYACTIV transmissions, SKYACTIV badging and, of course, competitively high fuel economy at 40 mpg on the highway.

Available in Touring and Grand Touring trims, Mazda3 s models are equipped with an MZR 2.5-liter engine that boasts 167 horsepower and 168 lb.-ft. of torque.
